What We Do

Our PROGRAMMES

We have seven interrelated and synergistic programmes:

1. Children's Rights Practice – empowering and encouraging individuals and organisations to put children's rights into practice through training and support.

2. Child Participation – creating awareness of issues around child participation and supporting organisations to practice ethical and meaningful child participation.

3. Play Rights – advocating for play as a right, and providing practical training and support to those seeking to include play in the lives of children.

4. ChildNet – supporting networks of duty bearers to address children's rights by connecting circles of care and support with safety nets, and monitoring and advocacy networks.

5. HIV/AIDS – advocating for and supporting the rights of children in the context of HIV/AIDS.

6. Help Desk – providing information and referral services to individual adults and children who are experiencing or at risk of rights violations.

7. Information and Materials Development – producing and distributing information resources on children's rights in general and on specific issues.

None of these programmes stand alone – each works with, supports and draws on other programme areas to do its work and achieve its objectives, which in turn flow into the organisational goals.

We seek to engage in a holistic, complementary and integrated manner with partners and our context as a whole. These interlinking programme areas reflect our attempt to do this in a coherent, efficient and effective manner.
